The estimated ship date on pre-orders is subject to change pending any production delays from the manufacturer. The pre-order product page will reflect the most current available information, so please periodically check the product posting for updated information.

On any merchandise with a future release date, all pre-orders will remain “awaiting fulfillment” until the physical merchandise has shipped. Unless contacted by Volatile Merchandise to let you know there is a problem with your order, an “awaiting fulfillment” status is an indicator that your order has been received and funds successfully secured to reserve you the merchandise for the release date, and it will ship once it is in stock.

 Please note: If your order is still in a "Pre-Order" status and you contact us about the status of the order, due to the sheer volume or orders and inquiries, we will be unable to guarantee a response. The most up-to-date information will be in your confirmation and update emails, and on the product page. 

I placed an order for several items, one being the pre-order merchandise? When will my order ship?

Orders that contain a pre-order item will not ship until all the items are available. If you order a long-lead pre-order item (VINYL LP, CD with a far off release date) along with an item that is currently available for shipping, then we will wait until the pre-order item is available to ship the entire order. If you would like to receive your other items before the long-lead pre-order item is available, please place a separate order, or select our FLEX SHIP option (where available). 

International orders that contain a pre-order item will not be broken up.

We always try to have a pre-order shipped out by the release date. However, occasionally we may be waiting for a manufacturer or supplier to send us items for the pre-order. In this scenario, trust that we are doing all it can to obtain the items required to fulfill your order as quickly and efficiently as possible. If your pre-order is pending after the release date and you would like to know the status of the order, please feel free to contact us at 

 I have emailed you and not gotten a response. What gives?

 We are a small, independent merch company, not Amazon. We do not have a dedicated full-time 24 hour customer service department.  Our ordering and fulfillment process is fully automated, and you should receive multiple emails from us with the status of your order, from when it's placed, to the day it ships, with additional updates along the way. We pride ourselves on using some of the most sophisticated order tracking technology available, and keeping our customers informed about the status of their orders. Please read all verbiage carefully on the order pages. Many of our items are pre-orders, and in addition to the estimated ship date, which will be listed on all pre-order items (and is always estimated and subject to change), please allow 7-14 days for domestic (US), and 45 days for international orders. If it is beyond 30 days after the estimated ship date for your product, please feel free to reach out, and we will do our best to get back to you ASAP.   

Of course technology is not infallible, and neither are we, and sometimes there is human error, so if you have searched your inbox and product pages and have found no updates or delays to your product, and a reasonable time has passed (including the shipping windows mentioned above) from the estimated shipping date, please feel free to reach out to us via email at [info at volatilemerch dot com].

 Customer service inquiries are handled by the same staff that does everything else, generally once or twice a week, so please be patient. We will get back to you as soon as we can. In many cases, you will not receive a response at all, we will simply find and locate the issue, and make sure the order ships, and you will see an update reflected in your order status. 


And, again,  If your order is still in a "Pre-Order" status, and you contact us about the status of the order, we will more than likely not be able to respond. The most up-to-date information will be in your confirmation and update emails, and on the product page. We will generally only respond to inquiries about products that are 30 days out from the estimated shipping date, and have not shipped, or that have shipped and not updated.
